The Ministry of Health (MOH) reported 117 new cases of locally transmitted COVID-19 infections for 31 July 2021.
Of the 117 cases, 75 are linked to previous cases and existing clusters, with the Jurong Fishery Port cluster snagging 26 cases, and the KTV lounge cluster claiming one case.

They have all already been placed in quarantine.
Currently, 42 cases are unlinked.
There are also seven seniors above the age of 70 years old who are unvaccinated or only partially vaccinated, and are at risk of falling seriously ill among the cases reported.
8 New Clusters Reported on 31 July Include a Work Release Centre by SPS; 1 Cluster Closed
Eight new clusters have been added to the tally, bringing the total up to 71 active clusters.
Among these new clusters, one of them involves the work release centre by Singapore Prison Service (SPS), the Institution S2 Selarang Park Complex.
It is home to inmates who are serving the tail end of their sentence in the community.
The goal of these work release centres is to give them a chance and the time to help them reintegrate back into society while still under supervision.
Of course, there are still some conditions attached to their movement as the inmates perform their work in the community during the day.

They return to the work release centre after work.
The cluster currently has six cases.
As there are no more cases linked to the Changi General Hospital cluster for 28 days, the cluster has been closed.
Visitors to Certain Wet Markets and Food Centres Asked to Collect ART Self-Test Kits
The MOH is trying to stop the spread of COVID-19 from infected fishmongers who visited the Jurong Fishery Port to wet markets and food centres.
As such, they are providing free antigen rapid test (ART) self-test kits to people who have visited these wet markets and food centres within 14 days, or live within the vicinity of one to collect.

The collection will last for only two days, from 1 to 2 August 2021.
The place?
There are two locations: 497 Jurong West Street 41 market, and Fajar Market on 445 Fajar Road.
The Jurong Fishery Port and associated wet markets cluster is still the cluster with the most cases, with a whopping 1,027 cases in total.
3 Imported Cases
Two of the 3 imported cases were detected when they developed symptoms during their SHN/isolation.

Only one case was detected upon arrival in Singapore.
604 Active Cases
There are currently 604 confirmed cases who are still in the hospital.
Of these, most are well and under observation.
Currently, 33 out of the 604 cases are seriously ill and require oxygen supplementation, and seven are in critical condition in the intensive care unit (ICU).
Among the seriously ill, only three of them are fully vaccinated, though the MOH did point out that these three have underlying medical conditions.
