Over 3,000 HDB Flats Launched For Sale In First BTO Exercise Of 2020 in Toa Payoh and Sembawang

The Housing Board (HDB) has launched 3,095 Built-To-Order (BTO) flats in the first sales exercise of 2020 yesterday.

The flats can be found across two housing projects in the mature estate Toa Payoh, specifically Kim Keat and Caldecott. Another project is located in Sembawang.

ICA: More Travellers Enter Singapore Through Automated Immigration Clearance At Woodlands, Tuas

According to an annual statistics report released by the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) on Tuesday, more travellers are entering Singapore by using automated lanes at immigration land checkpoints.

55% utilised this means in 2019 compared to only 49% back in 2017. This is due to the measures implemented in order to facilitate automated clearance.

Singapore’s Visitor Arrivals Expected To Decrease By 30% Due To Wuhan Virus

The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) is expecting a 25-30% drop in visitor arrivals this year due to the Wuhan virus outbreak.

Thus far, the Wuhan Virus has claimed the lives of over 1,000 people and afflicted more than 42,000 people. This estimation is much higher than the 19% fall in visitors due to Sars.

Schools Will Pay For Costs To Operators After Camps Were Suspended

Schools that had camps coming up or other similar programmes and activities in the coming weeks will pay outdoor camp operators for costs that have been incurred.
