Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat asked people to be kinder to one another during the COVID-19 outbreak.
“Singaporeans have been responding very well. They have been very caring, responsible and vigilant.
“Kindness and care and concern for each other should be very much part of our lives. The Covid-19 outbreak is not just a test of our medical response system but is also a test of the character and values of our people.”

Hawkers At Chinatown Complex Food Centre Offering Discounts To Encourage Crowds
Stall owners have observed a fall in business by up to 80% as people avoid crowded places due to the COVID-19.
Thus, 130 out of 226 of the food stalls at the centre took it upon themselves to offer discounts. For instance, one hawker is offering 10% off her herbal drinks, while Hokkien mee is being sold for $1 off its usual price.

Zam Zam Owner Convicted of Conspiring to Hire Hitman To Slash Rival From Victory Murtabak Restaurant
The owner of restaurant Zam Zam has been found guilty on Friday, along with a business associate of hiring a hitman to slash a man from a rival eatery.
The judge revealed that the case was all about business rivalry in a feud between Zam Zam and Victory restaurants in North Bridge Road.

FAS Says It’s Difficult For Goal 20134 To Succeed If Singapore Cannot Support It
It will be “difficult” for Goal 2034 to succeed if it isn’t supported by the country, said the Football Association of Singapore (FAS).
This followed comments made by the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY) Senior Parliamentary Secretary Baey Yam Keng in Parliament that the target isn’t set by the Government.
