Great Eastern Women’s Run Cancelled Due to Haze; Refunds Exclude S$20 Donation

The Great Eastern Women’s Run on 1 November 2026 has been cancelled because of worsening haze, organisers announced on Friday (16 October).

Refunds Within Six to Eight Weeks

CNA reported that registration payments will be refunded automatically through the original payment method within six to eight weeks, excluding the S$20 charitable donation.

Participants will still receive commemorative medals and, where applicable, 21.1km finisher T-shirts. Collection details will follow once finalised.

Why the Run Cannot Proceed

Organisers said they considered the possibility of haze continuing into early November and the health risks of extended outdoor activity.

Shorter distances or programme changes would still leave runners, staff and volunteers outdoors in potentially changing conditions.

They also could not find a workable alternative date because of planning and coordination constraints.
