This is the world’s longest and highest glass bridge, opened to the public on 20 August 2016 at the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park in China’s Hunan Province. It is 460 metres long and 300 metres above ground, offering a stunning view of the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon.
2. Tianmen Mountain Skywalk
Â
Called the coiling dragon path, the 100-metre walkway has 99 turns around the side of the cliff face of Tianmen mountain. If you are a daredevil, you will get to enjoy the magnificent view of the Hunan countryside and the Tiananmen mountain.
3. Brave Men’s Bridge
Â
In Hunan(yes, still in Hunan), there is a glass-bottomed suspension bridge in Shiniuzhai National Geological Park which is 180 metres high and almost 1000 feet long. It is made using glass panels that are 25 stronger than normal glass so tourists are free to jump around on the bridge(if you dare).
4. Yuntai Mountain Glass Bridge
Â
Located at Yuntai Mountain in Henan, this is 68-metre long glass bridge that surrounds the Yuntai Mountain. Suspended 3500 feet above ground, the top layer of the glass bridge cracked and frightened tourists. The bridge, which opened on 20th September 2015, closed the bridge after the incident.
5. Grand Canyon Skywalk
Â
This glass, horseshoe-shaped skywalk allows tourists to go beyond the canyon walls at Grand Canyon West, suspended 4000 feet above the riverbed. It offers a spectacular view of the gorge and the Colorado River more than 1 km below.
6. Glacier SkywalkÂ
Â
Suspended 280 metres above the Sunwapta Valley, visitors get to enjoy the view of the snow-topped mountains, Canadian Rockies. Opened in 2014 in Alberta, Canada, it is designed to attract more tourists to the great outdoors.Â
7. Tower Bridge
Â
London’s Tower Bridge is situated 42 metres above the River Thames. Since 2014, glass-bottomed walkway on both sides of the London’s Tower Bridge gives visitors a glimpse of the road below, spying on the pedestrians and London buses.
