Yet Another Traffic Junction Accident Caught on Camera, This Time in Pioneer

In the last seven days, the cases of high-profile accidents, all caught by in-car cameras as well, have been appalling.

On 19 April 2018, a crash occurred at the junction of Clementi Road and Commonwealth Ave, killing a 19-year-old NUS undergraduate.

On 22 April 2018, another crash occurred at the junction of Jalan Anak Bukit and Jalan Jurong Kechil at 1:00 a.m., killing a 23-year-old NUS graduate.

And on the next day, on 23 April 2018, another horrific account happened: a lorry veered into the pavement and killed three pedestrians.

It got so bad that the Singapore Road Safety Council has to step in to give a statement, reminding drivers about road safety, and emphasizing that “accidents can be prevented”.

I guess this trailer trick driver didn’t get the memo, for he became the lead in the next viral traffic accident video.

Here, take a look.

In this instance, it’s clear who’s in the wrong: the trailer truck driver beat the red light and smashed into car. Thank God the motorcyclists moving forward stopped in time; but not the white car driver.

According to The Straits Times, this happened at the junction of Jalan Buroh, Pioneer Road and Tanjong Kling yesterday (25 April 2018) morning at 9:13 a.m.

The driver of the white car was injured and sent conscious to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital.

Here’s a reminder to all drivers again: when you drive, you’re controlling a killing machine. Make sure you’re focused, if not this might happen to you.
