According to Statistics, Many of Us will Stop Playing Pokémon GO Next Week

Pokemon GO is still the talk of the town, despite the fact that it has been launched for more than two weeks.

From Hougang Ave 10 to Japanese Garden, the app has been hitting the headlines for the right and wrong reasons.

But that might not be the case in the near future.

First, a small sample scale (our writers)

How many of you have decided to give up the game for good whether due to time constraint or simply a lack of patience?

Most of the writers in our office, despite being hardcore fanatics at the beginning, have simply given up on Pokemon GO.

So yes, declining.

But seriously, here’s the real statistics

According to theverge.com, they managed to get their hands on a chart from Apptopia that shows the engagement and daily use of Pokemon GO dropping.

The use of the app peaked on 19 July and started dropping drastically on 25 July 2016, approximately 20 days after the game was launched.

But the good news is, the number of users starts to stabilise around the 30 million mark so you’ll still have Pokemon GO companions to play the game with you. Just without the crazy hype that caused all sorts of trouble.

That’s in the US. What has it got to do with us?

I bet most of you are thinking of this, right?

Like we said, statistics. Similar to sample voting, which nobody believed to be zhun, it’s going to be representative of Singapore, most likely.

We’ll pass the 20-day mark this week and chances are, the number of users for the app in Singapore will follow the US trend as well.

Just think. No more climbing over Japanese Gardens because everyone else isn’t doing it anymore.

Sounds heavenly, right?
