Another day, another attack because of a woman.
Previously, it was the Chinatown Condo Fight with Parangs which allegedly happened over a girl.
And now, another knife attack happened, this time at Toa Payoh.
20-Year-Old Man Went Out To Get Some Drinks & Came Back Injured
On 27 May, the victim told his family that he was going out to get some drinks.
15 minutes later, he hurriedly knocked on the door, asking to be let in.
His father opened the door only to see his son bleeding profusely from slash wounds.
Initially, he had refused to say what happened but relented after continuous questioning.
He Actually Went To Meet With Girlfriend’s Ex-Lover
It turns out that going out to get some drinks was merely an excuse.
He had actually met up with his girlfriend’s ex-lover to settle a dispute.
However, instead of a one-to-one talk, it became an ambush where a group of four to five men attacked him.
Residents in the area said they heard shouting from the covered walkway.
A 41-year-old resident told Wanbao that the victim had escaped to the second-floor lift lobby “before collapsing from exhaustion”.
It was reported that the attack had left a 20 to 30-metre blood trail along the void deck at Blk 106, Lorong 1 Toa Payoh and at the second level staircase landing.
The victim was taken conscious to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
He was slashed on the forehead and suffered a deep cut on his left arm. The cut was so deep the wound was exposed to the bone and required surgery.
