Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures recently announced that Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss will begin production for the Matrix 4 in 2020. They've been trying to produce another Matrix movie for a couple of years but couldn't do so because of issues with the production rights. Details of the upcoming movie haven't been revealed yet. Image: Hypebeast Keanu Reeves takes on the role of Thomas Anderson, a computer programmer who also happens to be a part-time hacker and goes under the alias "Neo". Carrie-Anne Moss takes on the role of Trinity, Neo's romantic interest. The movie is about a dystopian future wherein humans are unknowingly stuck in "The Matrix" which was created by machines. When Thomas Anderson realises the truth, he wages war against these machines, robots or whichever you prefer to call it, to free humanity from The Matrix. There have been 3 movies thus far: The Matrix (1999), The Matrix Reloaded (2003) and The Matrix Revolutions (2003) in case you've been looking for something to marathon this weekend. For the record, The Matrix franchise has brought in more than US$ 3 billion in revenue, and with Keanu Reeves' recent successes it's no wonder the movie is being picked up again.
