A man smashed the counter at a jewellery store and then lay on the ground to beg for mercy from the police.
Here’s what happened.
Man Suddenly Causes A Ruckus At Jewellery Store
On Tuesday (20 Dec), a man was seen begging the police for mercy after causing a commotion at a jewellery store nearby.
According to Shin Min Daily News, the owner of a jewellery store had noticed the man pacing outside her store but didn’t think much of it initially.
However, he later rushed into the jewellery store and smashed the store counter. He even knocked down the tables and chairs in front of the store.
Perhaps he thinks he’s the Hulk?
As the jewellery store owner was afraid that the man was armed, she did not directly approach him. She only asked the man what he wanted, to which he did not respond but continued to cause a commotion.
This scared the jewellery store owner as well as others in the area.

She also added that the man repeatedly dashed onto the road and, in the process of doing so, also knocked down the canned drinks displayed outside a nearby supermarket.
Perhaps he really thinks he has superpowers—maybe something like a cockroach that can never die?
Noticing that this did not seem right, the jewellery store owner called the police.
The incident occurred around the vicinity of Lorong 16 Geylang.
Man Begs Police For Mercy
On Wednesday (21 Dec), a video emerged on social media of the 54-year-old man seemingly begging the police for mercy after he was arrested for the commotion he caused.
The post was shared by Tiagong, a popular Facebook page among Singaporeans to stay updated on the latest gossip.
In the video, the man, donning a white T-shirt, can be seen attempting to open the door of a police car.
Uncle, this one is not your car leh.
After the police officers pulled the man away from the police car, he could be seen pressing himself against a pole while speaking to them.
Afterwards, the man was also seen lying on the ground, waving his hands to the police in a prayer-like manner. It appears that the man was begging the police for mercy.
Tiagong this is how you become a social media star overnight. With his behaviour, he can probably make it into the ranks of Singapore’s most notorious, together with the likes of the MBS Badge Lady.
Investigations into the matter are currently ongoing.
It’s Durian Season, Which Means It’s Also… Berserker Season?
Earlier this month, a 42-year-old woman was arrested for causing a public nuisance at Yishun Ring Road.
The strangest thing? She was eating durians beforehand, and seemed perfectly normal. She even said the durian was delicious and recommended other customers buy the durian.
Yet, she suddenly barged into a shoe shop unprovoked, attacked the shop owner, and flipped over a few tables and chairs.
For all we know, our man of the hour could have been eating durians nearby before he went berserk at the jewellery store.
