BF Threw Money at GF in Public & Belittled Her Like a Dog

My great uncle Pat used to tell me this: “Jack, sin if you must. Commit folly if you wish. But never, on any account whatsoever, ill-treat the one you love.”

No doubt; those were wise words from a not-so-wise man. In fact, I think he imparted the lines to me on a whim one day after a night of drinking. I was positive I smelled some Heineken there and then.

Nevertheless, the words ring true in my heart, and have been part and parcel of my personal life philosophy (?) ever since.

If you’re wondering why I’m rambling on about ill-treating and whatnot, it’s because this article’s topic is interconnected in more ways than I would like.

Incidentally, I like my steak medium rare. Not rare.

What happened?

A video of a man scolding his girlfriend, after the latter allegedly spilt a glass of water, has been making it’s rounds on Facebook.

The incident took place at a cafe in Malaysia, according to the caption on Fabrications About The PAP’s Facebook page.

In the footage, the man could be heard talking to the woman in a condescending manner.

The woman can be seen cowering as she tried to wipe away the water that she spilt.

Her boyfriend then gets up, clutches her head, and shoves his face close to hers, all the while criticising her.

“So are you at fault, or am I?” he shouted.

Another man, assumed to be a stall assistant, then stepped in to intervene. He attempted to pacify the evidently agitated boyfriend, and points to the surrounding in an apparent bid to indicate the fact that other customers were in the area.

However, the man replied:

“We’re just talking here.

“You go busy yourself with your chores.”

The waiter did not overstay his ‘welcome’, and left. The man subsequently persists in chiding the sobbing woman.

He asks the woman if he had ever ill-treated her, before reaching for his wallet on the table.

Withdrawing a stack of notes from it, the man goes on to splash the money in the woman’s face, saying:

“You want money?

“Don’t you want money?”

The woman stands up, but the boyfriend pushed her into a corner.

“I pay for your food and housing.

“How dare you show me a face like that?”

Meanwhile, the woman pleads with him to stop, but her boyfriend berates her:

“Stop what?

“It’s you who are suffering now, not me!

“You want money right?

“I’ve given you money!”

He then shoves her back into her chair and asks her to remain seated.

The petrified woman tries to rise on numerous occasions, only to be pushed back down onto her seat.

At this point in time, the waiter returned. His re-entry, however, only drew the ire of the man, who started shouting at him.

The man then pushes his girlfriend who had gotten up, back in her seat, before heading into a black car parked outside the cafe.

It was pretty clear cut for this one.

60% of Netizens were raging at the guy.

20% called for the girl to take action.

And 15% were calling bullshit on the entire ‘act’.

The last 5% differed from the norm, like these two:

In other words, life lessons.

Nevertheless, it seems that the debate rages on.

I, for one, can’t really decide on the bandwagon to jump on. The guy seems like a real asshole, yet at the same time, there might be hidden circumstances behind his outburst.

Not saying that what he did was right, but I would like to know everything before I bring the hammer down upon him.

And that’s assuming if the whole thing’s authentic.
