In Remembrance

Robert Lane Saget was born in Philadelphia on 17 May 1956, to his father, Benjamin who was a supermarket executive, and to his mother, Rosalyn who was a hospital administrator.

When Saget was younger, he aspired to be a doctor, but his Honours English Teacher, Elaine Zimmerman, recognised his creative potential and urged him towards the show business.

Since then, Bob Saget had only forged an unforgettable and hilarious career for himself, sharing laughter with the world through his works.

Bob Saget was best known for his role in an American sitcom called Full House as Danny Tanner, a widowed father of three girls, that ran from 1987 to 1995 for eight full seasons.

He later did a reprise of this iconic role in Fuller House from 2016 to 2020, when Netflix picked up the sitcom again for a reboot.

In between, he was the host of America’s Funniest Home Videos from 1989 to 1997.

Just from his two most notable works, Saget’s absolute devotion and love for comedy can be seen.

He loved making people laugh, and he was great at it too.
