It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, isn’t it?
With the fairy lights, Christmas trees and decorations all over Singapore’s shopping malls, are you feeling it? But honestly… what’s a Christmas celebration without food?
In the spirit of #TGIFF, Goody Feed is bringing an early Christmas to you.
Introducing… Burger King’s Long Cheesemas Burger!
It comes with two different meat patties, chicken or beef. Since I’m a beef lover, I put a knife on my teammate’s throat and force him to take the Chicken burger instead.
Anyhow, here’s our verdict.
For the princess, I mean yours truly, if I have to sum up in a short phrase:
It’s nothing remarkable.
I’ve got a weird way of eating burgers. I like to dissect it. Now now, don’t look at me that way. You need to know what you’re eating, ain’t it?
On closer examination, here’s the real deal:
2 buns, 2 onion rings, a couple of extremely fried bacon strips, meat patty and cheese sauce.
I’m okay with the taste, it’s edible, just like your typical fried food combo.
The beef reminds me of Macs’ cheeseburger (I’m a fan of Macs by the way) so all is good. As for the bacon, it’s extremely fried it doesn’t look like your normal bacon like this:
It’s almost like an overly fried bacon in black oil, as dry as a bone. But don’t get me wrong, for the seemingly negative description of Mr. Bacon, it turns out pretty palatable.
The onion rings in it are 5 out of 5 so all in all, I’ll rate the burger a 3 out of 5.
As for my teammate who tried the one with the chicken patty, he went to get Yong Tau Foo from the kopitiam after finishing the burger. So I leave it to your imagination why he did that.
After his Yong Tau Foo, we held a serious 3-minute meeting and concluded that Burger King just wanted to get something out for Christmas, hence the birth of Long Cheesemas Burger.
I would usually associate Christmas with turkey and ham so having bacon as a menu isn’t really Christmassy? But that’s just personal preference.
Go, give it a try and let us know what you think?
Since you’re here, why not watch a video about an NTU student who went all out to impress his crush, only to end up in…tragedy? Here, watch it and do remember to share it (and also subscribe to Goody Feed YouTube channel)!
