Logan Paul’s many things: buff, hilarious, daring, so on and so forth. In fact, he’s pretty much everything you would want in an entertainer.
But there’s something he’s not, at least according to his recent antics:
Being mature.
Which is kind of a pity, seeing how he might have effectively ruined his once promising career because of that.
Lest you’re unaware, Logan and pals recently took some time off to fly to Japan. Without going into the specifics, let’s just say that Logan and friends kinda went a little wild over there.
After the vlog was posted on Youtube, Netizens turned up in droves to condemn the social media star.
However, it seems that Logan wasn’t that concerned as he followed up with two other vlogs. Incidentally, they were no less offending in terms of content.
Despite the sheer disrespect of it all, Netizens still seemed tolerable of Logan’s antics. Barely.
And then came the final straw.
Logan and friends headed into Japan’s infamous Aokigahara (also known as the Suicide Forest), fully intending to capture some footage, good or bad. And in case you’re unaware, Aokigahara is internationally known as one of the world’s most prevalent suicide sites.
So yeah, you get what Logan was trying to do there.
Subsequently, he got what he was looking for:
A suicide victim.
But here’s the thing: he censored the victim’s face and upper torso, so everything’s technically still kept in check. Minimally, but in check nevertheless.
Until Logan and friends started making jokes.
It was then that the whole Internet blew up, and Logan Paul was suddenly hurled down from the pillar of fame into the hellhole of infamy.
Note: the video in question has since been taken off Logan’s channel, but other footage can still be found online:

All of a sudden, Logan’s name was spread across every new media outlet’s front page, and it wasn’t exactly for a positive cause. Which was pretty much acid for an otherwise young, rising star’s progression in the Hollywood circle.
Following that, Logan posted an apologetic video on his channel, in which he admitted his wrong and made no excuses for his actions.
But it seems that the damage has been done.
Although to be fair, he still had his fans’ support.
Youtube has cut off all ties with Logan
Youtube has adopted a strict stance in light of recent events.
The international video-sharing platform has also removed Paul from its exclusive Google Preferred advertising tier, took his name off the upcoming fourth season of the Youtube Red series Foursome and ceased production of Paul’s films in its “Originals” category.
However, Logan’s main channel has not been touched.
Is this the end of the line for him?
I confess; I used to watch his videos. I actually liked them.
Not that I don’t like them now, but I would be lying if I said that the suicide video didn’t leave a bitter taste in my mouth. The way he acted in Japan also triggered my inner Social Justice Warrior too; how could someone behave so inappropriately in a country that’s famous for being conservative?
Yet nevertheless, I still find myself rooting for a comeback. He might have committed a mistake (a grave one at that), but hey; who doesn’t?
Let’s just hope that he will come back a better, more mature man. Because goodness me…
He definitely needs it.
Since you’re here, why not watch a video about a guy who lodged a Police report here in Singapore because he was friendzoned? Seriously. Here, watch it and do remember to share it (and also subscribe to Goody Feed YouTube channel)!
