Someone Fake Ordered So Many Food to a Household That They Pasted a Notice at Their Door

With food delivery platforms taking almost 30% of an order, hawkers and eateries have resorted to delivering their food to customers themselves or through a third-party logistics company.

But there’s one benefit of using a food delivery platform: every order is legit. Even if it’s not, it’s the platform’s onus and they’d still have to pay you.

And when you have to do the selling yourself?

This might happen.

Imagine you’ve just received a large order from a WhatsApp message: a total of 14 bowls of noodles.

The customer opted for cash on delivery, which is understandable since not everyone has PayNow or PayLah.

So you happily cooked the noodles and went to the address…only to see this:

Lest you can’t read, here’s what’s written:

To Delivery Men, Grab, FoodPanda, Deliveroo, Lalamove, etc

Please note that we do not order online parcels, we have not ordered any food or other things at all. So please do not knock on the door or ring door bell -> as this house is under surveillance by the police.

A Police Report has been made and you are under camera.

Please leave as you will be seen as accomplice to the person who called you.

While I pity the fellow living the house, you can’t help but to wonder why there’s a need for such a threatening tone.

Prank, Harassment or Loan Shark?

It was reported recently that a loan shark has thought out of the box and used a debtor’s address to harass the debtor via food delivery and to get him on the phone.

It’s unknown what could have conspired over here, but the Facebook user has an advice for all eateries that aren’t using food delivery platforms:

Ask for payment before delivering.
