To everyone who can’t stop farting: sell your farts.
No, I’m not kidding. If a TikTok celebrity is selling her farts at $1,300 per jar, who says you can’t do it too?

Earns $60K Weekly… By Farting in Jars
Stephanie Matto, a TikTok celebrity and former reality TV star, started selling her farts for $1,300 per jar in November 2021.
During the peak period of…fart-buying season, Ms Matto had to produce 50 jars of farts in a week. That roughly means she had to fart seven to eight times a day.
However, her fart business had to come to an end when she was hospitalised.
Heart Attack? No, Just Excess Gas
Ms Matto admitted herself to the hospital after experiencing chest pains, afraid that those were symptoms of a heart attack.
However, after several tests, she got a surprise: the pain was caused by excess gas, not a heart attack.
Her diet of baked beans and eggs brought her rise as a fart seller but has now also ended her lucrative business. The doctors basically told her to change her diet and take proper medication to be less gassy.
Well, if she can’t sell her farts anymore, maybe she should start selling her dog’s farts?

Why Would Gas Cause Chest Pains?
You could experience chest pain if there’s excessive gas in your stomach or in the left portion of your colon.
Ms Matto’s diet of baked beans and eggs contained lots of sugars and fibres, which reacts to the bacteria in her intestines to produce… way too much gas.
Food intolerances could also upset your digestive system and cause you to build up gas. Other than food, medical conditions like heartburn, indigestion or acid reflux could also cause gas pains.

Difference Between Gas Pains and Heart Attack Symptoms
When it’s gas pains, you’ll likely experience the following:
- Bloating, Burping, Farting
- Knotted stomach
- Quick, sharp pains that suddenly come and go
If you experience any of the following together with the gas pains, seek medical help for a heart attack immediately:
- Pain in the chest that may spread to your arms, neck, jaw or back
- Nausea, Indigestion, heartburn or abdominal pain
- Unexplained shortness of breath and fatigue
- Cold sweat
- Lightheadedness or sudden dizziness
If you’re unsure, it’s still better to go see a doctor and play it safe.
Strange Demand, Strange Supply
Ms Matto shared that she would change her diets to change the smell of her farts.
That is kind of weird, but she had to match the strange demands for nicer smelling farts, right?
This is reminiscent of the time people were buying gamer girl bathwater, isn’t it?
While her fart career ultimately came to an end, her story might just be the motivation someone needs to venture into this business and provide the farts her buyers surely miss.
If you can’t stop farting, maybe it’s time for you to start selling your farts on Carousell. The people on the MRT might not appreciate it, but someone out there definitely would.
