Are you a fan of burgers and durian?

Because if you are, there’s something exciting you have to try in Singapore; and it’s from a brand that we know and loves.

Durian Burgers Are Now Officially Available in Fatboy’s Outlets

Fatboy’s is a burger joint first set up in Singapore in 2009 at Upper Thomson Road.

And since then, they’ve impressed people in Singapore so much with their unique build-your-own-burger and iconic flavours.

Now, they’re prepared to wow Singapore again with yet another interesting fusion guaranteed to explode in your mouth.

The Durian Burger.

From 26 Sep to 10 Oct 2021, Fatboy’s invited people to give suggestions on what they should include in their menu.

The craziest, the most unorthodox, everything goes, they promised.

And after 300 suggestions, they’ve settled on one of Singapore’s favourite fruit—durian—to include in their menu.

Just in time for their twelfth birthday.

How It Tastes

You probably cannot imagine how it would taste like, right? So couldn’t we, but damn did Fatboy’s description make us want to find out.

Crunch into a generous slab of durian croquette that has been fried to golden-brown perfection, layered over a juicy homemade beef patty featuring the signature Fatboy’s blend.

While your senses reel over the supreme textures, let your tastebuds luxuriate in the thick creaminess of decadent durian puree enhanced with a tart smear of jam, all wrapped in the warm hug of a fluffy buttered bun.

From that entire spiel, we can gather a few clues:

  • The durian won’t come in a smear like durian penyet but is covered in a crunchy, crispy shell instead
  • Fatboy’s somehow managed to blend the pungent fragrance of durian together with juicy, grilled beef patties
  • There’ll be a jam to make sure you won’t get gelat

Mmmmmmm.

I don’t know about you but that made me salivate.

Of course, if you’re not a fan of durians, per se, this might not be for you; but for the rest? Seems like this is a must-have.
