If you have watched any Hong Kong film ever from the 90s onwards, you probably have seen his face in one before.
Dubbed one of the four great “Heavenly Kings” of Hong Kong, Andy Lau is renowned for his amazing acting career as well as singing career.
A few examples of the movies he starred in are Internal Affairs, Firestorm, Shockwave and many many and we mean many more.
So let’s just say that if he is ever seen in public, people would definitely recognise him no matter how he tries to hide himself.
This time, Andy Lau decided to try a new approach, hiding in plain sight.
Andy Lau Takes Train Alone
Just to give a little context, whenever Andy Lau moves from point A to point B, there will always be cameras lurking around even when he is on a stretcher (see photo below) and this is one of few the reasons why he usually needs multiple bodyguards to ensure his own safety.
However, instead of travelling with his bodyguards this time, he decided to take a new approach by disguising himself as a normal civilian.
In a video posted on an Andy Lau’s fan page on Instagram, the megastar can be seen carrying a bag pack and wearing simple clothing such as a pair of jeans and a shirt walking towards his train.

To help with his disguise, he wore glasses, a hat and a face mask.
Upon reaching entering the train, Lau can be seen spraying what seems to be a sanitizer solution around his body.
After spraying his body, he sprayed the solution at the camera as a joke to ask the cameraman to stop filming.
Destination Was Three Hours Away
In the video, it is mentioned that Lau’s destination was Xiamen, which is a three hours ride from where they were at.
To kill off some time, the video showed that Lau took some time to relax by looking out of the window to enjoy the scenery while sipping down a hot beverage.
When the train reached the tunnel, Lau can be seen using his phone while communicating with the person behind the camera
The video, which was posted on 22 Nov has since garnered 12,500 likes and 170 comments.
Netizens Praises Lau
In the comment section, many people took quick note of how humble Lau is, stating that other superstars of his level would never take the train, not less on their own.
Other Netizens also mentioned how handsome he still looks despite his age being 61 years old while others say that they wish they had a chance to meet him in real life.
