Presenting to you our weekly dose of celebrity drama, this article is surprisingly wholesome with a heavy hand of friendship and solidarity.
In the past few months, two high profile breakups happened in the Chinese Entertainment industry.
Grace Chow
In April, The Chinese influencer, Grace Chow, took to Weibo to announce her break up with Show Lo, host of the variety programme 100% Entertainment.
She accused him of cheating on her, having sexual relationships with other women and hosting sex parties.
You probably do not need an introduction to this saga because it resulted in Luo losing a lot of jobs, Luo’s mother being “attacked” and a post that is deemed insincere.
In fact, he wasn’t the only one affected in this saga as 100% Entertainment co-host, Linda Chien, was entangled in the drama as well.
Luo and Chow had been together for nine years.
Gillian Chung
In May, the singer-actress from Hong Kong, Gillian Chung’s husband, Michael Lai (aesthetics doctor), announced their separation on Instagram after being married for less than two years.
Lai claimed that Chung did not love him enough, although Chung’s friends were quick to dismiss his claims, saying there is more to the story.
There was also a rumour that Show Luo’s manager had leaked news of the divorce in order to divert attention from Luo’s crisis.
The Reunion
Freshly single, Chow and Chung reunite.
Known to be good friends, Chow posted a photograph of the two of them in a karaoke room on Saturday, 8th August.
With Chung giving Chow a back hug, the caption read “Do you miss me very much? I miss you.”
It was reported that when Chow broke up with Luo, Chung had spoken up for her.
Meanwhile, Chow had also caught up with other celebrities since.
In a meeting dubbed by the Netizens as an “alliance of ex-girlfriends”, last week Chow met Karena Ng, Hong Kong actress and socialite Yvonne Ching.
Ng used to date Raymond Lam, Hong Kong actor, while Ching is the ex-girlfriend of Chinese actor Zheng Kai.
We hope that everyone involved will find happiness and peace in the ending of their relationships.
