I’m sure that by now, you would have heard of HEYTEA’s alcoholic tea and ice cream.
If you haven’t… it means you haven’t been keeping up with our articles because we covered it here.
As the office’s resident alcoholic AND tea fanatic, of course, I had to try it. Then, I was told that I could go down to Clarke Quay and try the drinks. Are you kidding me? Of course, I jumped at the chance and omg, it was amazing.
Ok, HOLD ON, I know you’re excited too but let’s do a quick recap. (Spoiler: My favourite item is one of the ice creams, and read on to find out their opening promotion!)
What’s going on?
HEYTEA, the original creator of cheese tea, is opening their second Singaporean store in Clarke Quay.
But what’s so special about that?
This space will be home to Singapore’s first ever TEA GEEK BAR which will introduce 6 brand new alcoholic teas, inclusive of 2 Singapore exclusive tea creations.
On top of that, there will also be 2 Singapore exclusive alcoholic ice creams.
Ever had a drunk friend who kept going on about wanting bubble tea? (I was that friend) HEYTEA will be able to fulfil that drunk craving.
To cater to the bustling nightlife in the area, the store will be open daily to 1 am! Woohoo for my drunk self!
4 of alcoholic tea drinks are created for the 4 seasons: Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter.
Spring Fling ($16)
My personal favourite. Reminds me of a classic mojito and is perfect if you’re not into sweet drinks.
Summer Siesta ($18)
The gorgeous colours are so pleasing and I really love the jelly and rice balls in this! Adds a little element of fun to this summer cocktail.
Autumn Ashes ($16)
When I saw this, I was a little scared. I mean, look at that chilli padi! But overall, it provided a nice twist to this citrus based cocktail.
Winter Solace ($18)
The colours of this drink caught my eye immediately. Dark and broody, just like winter. If you’re into berries, this is the drink for you.
Plus, Two S’pore Exclusive Drinks
Here are the 2 Singapore exclusive drinks, meaning these are created specifically for the local market!
Scarlett Heart ($16)
Just like that show, this drink combines cognac brandy with fruits to create sweetness with a touch of mellow.
The Royal Romance ($22)
Talk about fit for a royal! This drink is luscious! Packed with fruits and flavours, this is the ultimate summer drink.
Now, onto the ice cream
First and foremost, I have to say this. Man, the portion is hefty and definitely bang for your buck.
Guinness ($4.50)
I have to say, I don’t usually like drinking Guinness. I find it too bitter at times but this, this is fantastic. You still get that slight bitter undertone, but it balances perfectly with the sweetness of the ice cream. Again, a great choice if you don’t have a particularly sweet tooth.
Singapore Sling ($5.50)
When you talk about alcohol in Singapore, you can’t run from the Singapore Sling. Give this ice cream a go and you will be pleasantly surprised with HEYTEA’s take on our classic drink.
Alright, not to worry if you don’t drink alcohol. This HEYTEA outlet will also be serving your signature HEYTEA drinks!
Now, Here’s The Best Part: Don’t Say I Bojio.
To celebrate the opening of their new outlet, HEYTEA will be running a Buy 1 Get 1 Free promotion for the first three days!
That means it’ll be from 26 to 28 January (Saturday to Monday). Do note that this promotion does not extend to the alcoholic drinks. The ice creams are included in the promotion so don’t miss out!
The first 150 customers daily will also have a chance to walk away with a set of HEYTEA merchandise (which I must say, is quite aesthetic).
Purchase of two drinks will also entitle you to a token for the HEYTEA claw machine. Gather your friends, get those tokens, and try your luck at winning some merchandise!
Enough said, I have already made up my mind to visit HEYTEA soon because I already miss my Spring Fling (I’m talking about the drink hor). Maybe I’ll see you there? 🙂
