We’re talking about Folks Collective’s new concept store at Thai Supermarket aka the new Little Thailand!

If you haven’t heard about Thai Supermarket relocating to Aperia Mall after Golden Mile Complex closed for good, we have some news for you.

The Little Thailand of Singapore has shifted and is now nearer to Kallang than Nicoll Highway.

With the move of the heart of Little Thailand, many Thai food lovers can’t help but wonder if there is good Thai food near that area now.

And yes, there is.

Folks Collective and its sister brand, Slurp Noodle Bar, are bringing Bangkok bistro vibes to Aperia Mall.

The food duo are collaborating with Thai Supermarket to provide Singaporeans with delightful Thai-inspired food which you can’t get enough of.

For those who find the name Folks Collective familiar, it’s because the brand also runs a vintage shophouse F&B establishment in the CBD area.

They Offer a New Menu for Thai Food Lovers

With the new outlet at Thai Supermarket, expect a full menu of interesting options.

For example, how about some Red Lychee Curry (Gang Daeng Gai) at $11.90?

This is a Sino-Thai fusion dish that originated in the 18^th century.

It mixes Chinese and Thai flavours with sweet and spicy aromas from red chillies, spices and coconut milk.

Savoury lean roasted meat is also added to the dish to zhng it up. Fruits soften the protein and lift the delectable dish.

If you like pad thai (stir-fried noodles) and ebiko (prawn roe), then you will love their Pad Mama Tobiko Lava ($19.90).

This is the ultimate umami sensation in Singapore, with overflowing tobiko on top of smokey fried noodles, fresh vegetables and grilled prawns.
