KFC M’sia Launched Zinger Waffle Burger Since 2 Oct, Time To Go JB Liao

Just 2 days ago, we wrote about how McDonald’s Malaysia got one up on Singapore with their salted caramel chocolate pie.

And the peeps at Goody Feed are trying to convince our stingy and ugly boss to field an excursion to JB for it.

But guess what?

Malaysia fast food is on a streak.

Just one day after McDonald’s Malaysia epic release, Malaysia’s KFC also launched a new product.

KFC Malaysia Launches Waffle Zinger Burger

Waffles with chicken is a recent combination that had people going crazy for around the world. I mean, sweet and savoury? It’s like an explosive adventure for your taste buds. If done well, that is.

Popeyes once did it in Singapore before, and here’s our review on it. Let’s just say that we loved it so much, we’re all willing to pile on the calories just to have a few more.

But anyways.

Everybody’s familiar with Zinger, right? It’s KFC’s iconic answer to Burger King and Carl’s Junior, and it had served them well for years.

Now, imagine Zinger patty served, not within two plain, toasted buns, but sweet waffles.

Now, before you think we’ve confused the comeback of McGriddles with KFC, it’s true. They’ve launched the godlike waffle burger in their stores just yesterday.

Think the delicious Zinger fillet we’ve been having throughout the years, topped with maple syrup and mayonnaise and slapped between two thick Belgium waffles with some chicken strips.

Doesn’t it sound like a dream come true for foodies?!

Now, because we’re still unable to convince our fat boss to bring everybody to JB, we can only tell you what people are saying about the new burger.

Not bad, a mix of savoury with a touch of sweetness but it can get pretty dry so make sure you have a drink on hand.

WorldofBuzz, too, decided to have several different people do a taste test for KFC’s new product.

And the reviews were pretty mixed.

In conclusion, it all depends on how you like your buns – sorry, I mean, your waffles.

For those who like thick, dense Belgium waffles, you’d probably like this. If not, the (too) thick Belgium waffles might spoil the burger for you.

Of course, there are some who feel that the sauces in this burger don’t go together.

Should You Try It?

Yes. Of course.

One, it’s waffles and chicken. From KFC.

And two, with reviews so mixed, you’ll need to taste it for yourself to really decide if it’s a good burger or not.

And three, it’s in JB. Not only does it bring you out of fast-paced, stifling Singapore, but you can also try McDonald’s new pie as well.

Plus, with the current exchange rate, this particular Waffle Zinger burger with fries and a drink will only set you back S$6 (inclusive of service charge).

So what are you waiting for?

Time to arrange a trip to JB liao. Lunch at KFC, snack at McDonald’s and dinner at some seafood place.

The Coca-Cola Plus Coffee has arrived in Singapore, and let’s just say that the taste is very subjective: one of us thinks it’s like coffee candy, one of us thinks it’s like carbonated dark chocolate milk and one of us think it’s like Vanilla Coke. However, none of us thinks that it’s worth a second try, simply because we’ll all rather have Coke and coffee separately.
