Here’s a question that has bugged kids today at least once in their lives: how far will you go to get fame?
Or to be more precise, 30 seconds of fame?
Ten years ago, we had Kid’s Central and their one-minute of fame segment but today, we have social media.
Presenting to you…the latest bodoh of Instagram
If the first thought that comes to your mind is…this guy crazy ah, you’re a decent human being.
On 15 Feb, a video of a teen throwing a traffic cone down an HDB building went viral on Facebook.
It garnered over 1.1k reactions and 2.7k shares since it was uploaded on 14 Feb 2018.
His friend, who was the one filming the video, asked him several times if he was really going to do it.
Cockily, he said that he’d definitely do it, and he appeared pretty smug about it.
And damn if he didn’t look like he just became Singapore’s greatest hero after doing the deed.
You can watch the video for yourself below:
Judging by how effective social media is at catching idiots like him, it’s highly likely that the police is going to catch up to him sooner or later.
After all, that was what happened to the dude who threw an ofo bike down an HDB building
Back in Jun 2017, the Singapore Police Force arrested a 14-year-old teen for throwing an ofo bike down an HDB block at Telok Blangah.
The police were notified by the residents of the estate and a police report was lodged against the teen by the bike-sharing company.
The boy was arrested on the very same day.
If found guilty of a rash act, you can be given a jail term of up to six months, a fine of up to S$2,500 or both.
But really, if you want to feel like the world’s greatest man, how about doing something like this instead?
You become a real hero instead of being a public nuisance.
