It has caused damage to the Ulu Pandan park connector and soil displacement into Ulu Pandan Canal.

The site has now been cordoned off for public safety, which means if you use the park connector often, you might need to find a new route.

She urged residents to stay away from the area.

PUB, Singapore’s National Water Agency, Housing & Development Board and NParks are now handling the situation.

According to HDB, a male passer-by was injured by the landslide. HDB said in a Facebook post, “A male passerby, who suffered some minor injuries and was attended to at site, is now resting at home. Agencies are in touch with him to render any further assistance that may be necessary. There is no other reported injury.”

Landslides Spiked in 2021

While landslides are rare, there had been more landslide last year due to the heavier rainfall.

In 2021, there were 20 landslides…compared to just one landslide in 2020.

NParks had then said that it could’ve been due to the “abnormally high rainfall”.
