Remember the old Nokias? You could throw them at a brick and the brick would break instead.
Yep, Li Nanxing is still using a Nokia, and prefers it to a smartphone. Here’s why.
Favourite Phone Is The Nokia 3310
In an interview with Lianhe Zaobao, our favourite local actor Li Nanxing revealed that his favourite phone is the old-school Nokia 3310.
And yes, his colleagues did convince the 57-year-old to try using a smartphone. But even after experiencing the wonders of many many more apps, he still prefers his Nokia phone.
Since the Nokia is unable to download apps like Whatsapp and Telegram, his manager has to call his mobile phone directly.
And if he doesn’t pick up his phone? Nobody can find him.
Nokia 3310 First Launched 22 Years Ago
Yep, you read that right. The Nokia 3310 was first launched in 2000, and many people might remember it fondly as the first phone they owned.
However, Nokia’s popularity faded to early zero by 2013, and most people forgot about the OG phones. However, the brand was revived in the later 2010s, and they decided to release a revamped Nokia 3310 in 2017.
The revamped phone was almost the same as the original one, but it now came with a colour screen, a better version of the Snake game, and a 2mp camera.
Honestly, we understand why Li would rather stick with his Nokia. It is a super trusty phone that will probably survive longer than humans do.

Changed His Number
Lianhe Zaobao also asked multiple celebrities whether they have changed their phone number recently. This comes after news that Koo Jun Yup got in touch with Barbie Hsu by calling her phone number from over 20 years ago.
However, Li’s manager said that he has changed his phone number, and that there isn’t any old friend Li would like to get in touch with.
That’s because when Li needed to borrow money urgently, he called over a thousand people and couldn’t get in touch with anyone. Humans are pragmatic after all, and it seems like he has lost his faith in old friends.
Well, he may not be able to count on old friends, but there’s one thing that will never fail him: his trusty Nokia.
