I bet you’re like…
This happened in Harbin, China, but that’s not the kicker.
These images came from a video uploaded by Pear Video. And believe it or not, this footage was taken in well-known luxury hotels.
Namely Shangri-La, Kempinski and Sheraton hotel.
Yes, that world-renowned Shangri-La.
Luxury Hotel Cleaners Breach Hygiene Standards
According to reports, the footage was taken by an undercover hotel intern.
Cleaners at both Shangri-La and Kempinski hotel were caught washing the room’s cups with a toilet brush.
A cleaner at Sheraton hotel was caught using the toilet brush to clean the sink and toilet.

The video has been verified as genuine and an investigation is carried out.
And should these allegations be found true, the hotels will be punished.
Shangri-La said the hygiene standard shown in the video is not acceptable, and they’ll work to implement all hygiene measures.
Kempinski apologised on their Weibo page and assured visitors that they are currently investigating the incident.
Sheraton, too, apologised and promised to re-train their cleaning staff.
Well, at least we all learn one important lesson from this article. Always wash your cup before drinking.
