Man Allegedly Watched Video in Handicapped Toilet & Stomper Shamed Him Online

The handicapped toilet, as the name suggests, is catered to the handicapped. No doubt whatsoever about that.

However, the age-old question remains: what if nobody’s using the handicapped toilet? Can you use it?

This question was put to the test when a Stomper, who’s wheel-chair bound, found herself waiting outside a handicapped toilet for nearly 8 minutes. The user?

It’s an able-bodied person.

But don’t judge just yet.

What happened?

The incident occurred on 2 Jan at AXA Tower.

Stomper Cai, who had undergone an operation for her ankle and thus had to use a wheelchair, had decided to pay a visit to the toilet.

Once there, however, she discovered that someone was inside.

“I saw that the handicap toilet was locked so I knocked softly to ask if anyone was using it,” Cai told Stomp in a telephone interview.

A male voice from inside the toilet then allegedly shouted in a rude tone, “Yeah, I’m inside!”

The Stomper heard noise coming from the toilet, and suspected that he was watching a video.

She then started recording to see “how long she would have to wait before the man would come out of the toilet”.

That wait turned out to be eight minutes long, as the man only came out of the toilet by then.

Despite using her crutches to hit the door, the man purportedly ignored her.

“If he had told me he had diarrhoea or something I would have understood, but he didn’t even acknowledge that he was coming out,” Cai told Stomp.

She added, “I didn’t want to rush him.”

Helpless, she tried asking a man for help in Chinese.

In response, the man asked her whether the toilet user was coming out. She subsequently replied that she didn’t know, but that she “really wants to use the toilet”.

The man proceeds to knock on the toilet door.

This time, the user acknowledged with a ‘yep’.

When the user finally came out, he apologised to the Stomper.

“I find that this guy was just using it out of convenience to watch videos inside,” Cai said.

Adding that the man was ‘very inconsiderate’, she said, “I feel that any able-bodied person should refrain from using the handicap toilet.”

Response

Meanwhile, Netizens were largely divided in regards to this one.

Some called the man out on using the handicapped toilet when he’s evidently able-bodied.

Some were more nonchalant about it.

While the rest felt that the Stomper was being a tad bit oversensitive.

Who’s right, and who’s wrong?

Let’s face it; it’s the MRT priority seat debate all over again.

But if I were to give my two cents’ worth, it would be that both parties are in the wrong.

Now, just to clarify, I’ve used the handicapped toilet before. I’m not proud to admit it, but yeah.

And I have no idea whether I will be valiant enough to retract my shit if I hear crutches hitting the door.

But one thing I will definitely do is hurry the hell up.

And if the noises and video parts turned out to be true, that’s not really the way to go (unless you’re telling me that your shit would only come out if someone goes ‘Kamehameha’ on your phone la).

On the other hand, the Stomper might have been a tad bit too oversensitive here.

I understand; you need to use the toilet urgently, and it’s not really convenient for you to travel to another handicapped toilet because some d*ckhead’s occupying it.

But still, this is hardly a matter to blow up, especially when he apologised at the end.

As one of the Netizens said…

“Give and take la.”

Since you’re here, why not watch a video about a guy who lodged a Police report here in Singapore because he was friendzoned? Seriously. Here, watch it and do remember to share it (and also subscribe to Goody Feed YouTube channel)!
