Man Attacked Cleaner When She Cleared His Unfinished Kopi Away at Quality Road Food Centre

A man and a cleaner auntie got into a fight over at Quality Road Food Centre on 5 February over… coffee.

According to Shin Min Daily News, she had allegedly cleared his cup of unfinished coffee away before he had finished it.

This evidently made the man very, very angry so much that he resorted to physical violence.

Facebook page All Singapore Stuff shared a video of a man in purple pushing the cleaner who was in a blue shirt.

The cleaner fell over and he pointed and shouted at her.

Did she stay on the ground? Nope.

In a split second, she was up on her feet and promptly threw an unidentified object at him.

Luckily, another man came to the rescue and separated them before any further harm could be done.

Why It Happened

The whole altercation allegedly happened after the cleaner accidentally cleared the man’s coffee, according to a stall owner who spoke to Chinese daily.

The man had purchased a drink and had left it on the table while he went to buy his food.

However, upon returning to his table, he quickly realised that his cup of caffeine was missing.

That was when things took a turn for the worse and he became angry.

He shouted at the cleaner who apologised but this did not calm him down one bit.

Instead, he reportedly threw his food at her, which in turn made the cleaner angry. The cleaner then used a rag to fight back, according to another stall owner.

The situation quickly escalated and they started arguing and hitting each other before the man who is believed to be the cleaner’s husband put a stop to the fight.

A stall owner claimed that the cleaner often cleared customers’ food and drinks before they were finished.

“She does this often. Some customers feel disrespected. There are small quarrels occasionally but this is the first time a physical confrontation happened.”

However, it had never turned into violence, until this particular incident.

It is unclear who is in the wrong, but whatever it is, it is never right to resort to violence to solve our problems.
