Alcohol may relieve one’s stress after a long day at work, but it could also bring out the worst in an individual:
As the following notion serves to attest to.
Drunken Man from Myanmar Gropes Buttocks of Satay Owner’s Daughter in the Middle of the Crowded Stall
According to Lianhe Zaobao, a middle-aged man from Myanmar has been apprehended for indecent assault.
Apparently, he had capitalised on a stall’s busy state to grab a piece of their meat. In his drunken stupor, however, it appears that he went for the wrong piece of meat.
The incident is said to have occurred on 31 March 2021 at a coffee shop, at around 7:30 p.m.
According to the news report, the stall owner’s 31-year-old daughter, son-in-law and son were busy tending to the satay stall at that time.
Meanwhile, a middle-aged customer had ordered satay from their stall and was shooting furtive glances at the female stall assistant.
He was described as a tall and dark-skinned man who seemed to be a worker from Myanmar.
Touchy
The stall owner’s son found it weird at the time, but he did not expect the man to approach her from behind and touch her buttocks.
Frightened, the victim swiftly turned around.
She later informed her husband, who in turn called the police.
After a series of investigations, the culprit was caught.
According to a witness, the perpetrator had chatted to a friend in a nonchalant manner after the incident and was said to have placed a hand on his own crotch.
Police investigations are currently ongoing.
Onslaught Of Alcohol-Affiliated Molestation Cases
It appears that alcohol-related molestation cases are not exactly that uncommon.
In February 2020, a 39-year-old Malaysian molested his valet on the journey back home.
Finding his valet attractive and wanting to have sex with her, he had begun touching her after they entered the Central Expressway.
The victim pushed his hands away and demanded that he stop, but he continued touching her upper arms, shoulders, and the back of her neck and face over 15 minutes while she drove.
The victim later called the police and made a report.
The perpetrator was eventually given a $1,500 fine – the maximum for his charge.
