Monday mornings are the worst. Am I right?
It is the start of a new week and you have no idea what fresh hell awaits.
While many of us were dragging our feet to work, there was a commotion of sorts in Ang Mo Kio.
According to Channel 8 News, there was a man who was hanging off a window ledge of a 5th floor at Block 217, Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1.
I am sure any sleepy-eyed passer-by would be shook to a sight like that.
What happened
According to The New Paper, the incident occurred at about 9 A.M. People started gathering to witness the fiasco as the 34-year old man started shouting with nothing but black shorts on.

He even smashed the window pane.
The Police and the Civil Defence forces arrived at the scene at about 10:15 A.M., and the latter laid out two yellow air cushions on the ground for protective measures.
It took him about two hours before he decided to jump.

As seen in the video, he was lucky enough to land on the cushion. The man was arrested and was taken to Tan Tock Seng hospital for observation.
Investigations are still ongoing as to why he was hanging off a window ledge.
Who is this guy?
His mother told The New Paper that her son had been struggling to put his life back together but it had not been easy as he was struck with a family tragedy and had trouble landing a job.
“I know some people might say he is a bad kid, but I know him, at his core he is a good, obedient child,” she added.
A mother’s love is unconditional.
The mother is a single parent to three who already has lost one daughter.
“I have already lost my daughter. If I had lost him today, I do not know how I am going to live,” she said.
With that said, he is known for getting into fights with others in the estate.
A neighbour who lives one storey above him said: “He is always angry and maybe a bit unstable. I have seen him talking to himself.”
Thoughts
Everyone is fighting their own battle so who are we to speculate.
If you feel troubled, you can always seek help as there are many various organisations in Singapore—Singapore Association for Mental Health and Institute of Mental Health.
