Imagine inviting 27 kids to your child’s birthday party, only to end up with a grand total of… zero guest.
Granted, the kid seemed happy enough to eat pizza, but seeing the birthday girl alone in the party venue is super sad.
Can 7.3M Views Replace the 27 Absent Guests?
The mom shared this sad birthday party experience on TikTok on 6 November, and the video has since gained over 7.3 million views and 18,200 comments.
The video begins with a caption reading, “We invited 27 kids to Avery’s 3rd birthday party”.
The camera pans around the decorated room full of tables and benches with party plates and cups laid out.
Along with a shot showing a custom birthday cake with “Happy Birthday Avery” printed on top, the caption then reads, “Not a single one of her friends showed up.”
Wait, she has 27 friends at the young age of three? That’s more than most adults have.
The mom then throws a pizza box into a bin, with the caption, “Money and time wasted”.
However, she does show a shot of her daughter munching away on pizza happily, so I guess the daughter was unfazed about the no-show.

Netizens Respond
One mother shared that instead of having a birthday party, she’d grab a cousin or friend to celebrate her kid’s birthday. This guarantees that there’ll be someone instead of a no-show.
Other parents also said that they experienced the same thing, and now make sure to attend any party that they and their daughter and invited to. “I never want to see that pain for any child.”
Another resident also said that perhaps the size of the gathering was the reason why nobody came. Maybe parents felt awkward at the idea of needing to make small talk with 26 other parents?
Perhaps keeping the guest list to 4 people might be a better choice.
We hope that Avery will have a much better birthday next year, if not, we hope the pizza shop is still open next year.
