If you’re a fan of K-dramas and the Marvel Cinematic Universe, you’re in luck, because it seems like an exciting collaboration may be coming your way.
That’s right, according to industry insiders, South Korean actor Park Seo-joon may be making an appearance in the upcoming sequel to “Captain Marvel” (2019). The sequel is called “The Marvels”, and is slated to be released in November 2022.
However, Park’s management agency Awesome ENT has not confirmed the news and it is not known what role the South Korean actor will play in the movie.
If Park really does join the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), he will be the third South Korean actor to do so, after Ma Dong-seok and Claudia Kim.
Ma Dong-seok, who starred in “Train to Busan” (2016), will be featuring in the upcoming Marvel movie “Eternals”, playing Gilgamesh, the strongest Eternal superhero.
Claudia Kim played Helen Cho in “Avengers: Age of Ultron” (2015).
Aside from American actress Brie Larson who will be playing Captain Marvel once again in “The Marvels”, other confirmed actors in the movie include Teyonah Parris and Iman Vellani.
Nia DaCosta will be the director of “The Marvels”.
Park is currently filming a disaster-thriller movie, “Concrete Utopia”, starring Lee Byung-hun and Park Bo-young. He is said to be travelling to the United States once filming for the movie wraps up to begin working on “The Marvels”.

The 32-year-old actor shot to fame after his breakout roles in “Kill Me, Heal Me” (2015) and “She Was Pretty” (2015).
Other popular dramas he starred in include “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim” (2018) and Netflix hit show “Itaewon Class” (2020).
He also made a cameo in the Oscar-winning movie “Parasite” (2019).
He’s known for his great fashion sense and is often invited to fashion shows abroad, being an endorser for famous luxury brands like Montblanc. He is also the first Asian male to model for Tommy Hilfiger.
He is starring in an upcoming sports movie called “Dream”, which is slated to be released this year, alongside musical artist and actress IU, whose real name is Lee Ji-eun.
He’s also a talented singer who has recorded original soundtracks for a couple of his drama series, such as “Dream High 2” (2012), “Kill Me, Heal Me” (2015), “Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth” (2016), and “She Was Pretty” (2015).
A charitable spirit, he made donations to the city of Daegu in South Korea to aid in the battle against the COVID-19 pandemic. He also donated to victims of the Gangwon wildfire in 2019.
