Unless you live in a mansion like Jeff Bezos, you probably have a few neighbours or so.
Throughout history, there have always been three types of neighbours:
- Good neighbours who smile and greet you when they see you
- Indifferent neighbours who ignore you
- Neighbours from hell
It seems like neighbours from hell have been reproducing at rapid rates in the last decade, as more and more of them are popping up all the time.
There was the famous one who left a bloody pig’s ear on their neighbour’s shoe rack, as well as the Tampines resident whose hobby was cursing loudly at her neighbour through her window.
One resident in Punggol has a slightly different kind of complaint though: hair.
Reader: Hair?
Hair.
Punggol Resident Threatens to Send Neighbour’s Hair to Authorities Coz’ They Kept Throwing It Out of Their Window
A notice put up by a resident in Punggol has gone viral on social media.
It made the rounds after it was shared on SgfollowsAll’s Instagram account yesterday (29 Aug).
In the letter of complaint, the complainant seemed displeased about their neighbour’s hair disposal methods.
They claim that the neighbour has been throwing their hair out the window, and that instead of gracefully falling to the ground like a feather, some strands “flew” into their units.
Some would say that making their grievances known would have sufficed, but the complainant went one step further and threatened the offending neighbour.
“We have your hair and DNA now. We will hand them over to the police and NEA if you don’t stop,” the complainant wrote.
I don’t know if the complainant has been watching too much CSI: Miami, but unless the hairs were flying into their units with such force that they injured them, I doubt the authorities would perform DNA testing to determine the culprit’s identity.
The notice was addressed to “neighbour”, meaning the complainant didn’t want to name the alleged offender, or that the neighbour had an unfortunate name.
Here’s the full notice:
In case you can’t see it:
“Dear Neighbour,
Please stop throwing your bundles of hair out the window. They flew into our units time and again.
We have your hair and your DNA now. We will hand them over to the police and NEA if you don’t stop.
Please be considerate!”
Why Out the Window?
Unless it’s an adult pigeon that flew into your house, you shouldn’t really be throwing anything out your window.
If it’s heavy enough, it can seriously injure or even kill someone on the ground.
Hair isn’t exactly heavy, but no one wants another person’s gross hair all over them, whether it’s on the streets, or worse, in their own homes.
After all, what are dustbins for?
