Shouting out to all Mr Bean fans! Here’s your chance to catch a glimpse of your favourite character once again.Â
While it may not be an entire show on Mr Bean himself alone, I’m sure the appearance of the iconic character will not only bring back fond memories but also hearty laughter.
Mr Bean’s Chinese Debut
You may have often heard of Asian actors going into the Hollywood market yet it seems that the recent trend shows Western actors coming into the Chinese movie scene.Â
Rowan Atkinson is one fine example of that. Set for release during the Chinese New Year period, the comedy titled Top Funny Comedian The Movie, it features our favourite mime, Mr Bean.
What’s the movie about?
Well, you probably haven’t heard of the movie until now and you are probably scratching your head, trying to figure out what it is all about. Basically, it’s a spin-off of a TV series with Chinese comedians Guo Degang and Yue Yunpeng leading the film.
As the poster shows, we can see Mr Bean standing out from the crowd of other characters as he stares straight out of the poster while the others uniformly stare in another direction.
If that’s still not enough to satisfy your curiosity, why not check the trailer out yourself?Â
Mr Bean’s Role
Honestly, we don’t know how much screen time Mr Bean takes up in the entire movie but if anything, we can be sure that he’ll make us laugh till we roll off the seats as long as his face pops up on the screen.Â
Furthermore, Atkinson need not go through the whole trouble of mastering the Chinese language or memorising and understanding any script as we already know that Mr Bean is a mime.Â
Then, the comedy definitely won’t be undermined due to a lost in translation since everyone knows charades.
Enough said! If you can’t wait to see Mr Bean again, don’t forget to head down to the theatres for some fun time.
