On 10 December, an accident took place in front of a bus stop along Marine Parade Road towards Bedok South Avenue 1.
The accident involved two SBS Transit buses, a car and a pedestrian.

In the video, it is apparent that the road is jammed, and an at least one ambulance and a fire engine can be seen at the scene to render help to the victims.
Individuals Involved
A total of six bus commuters, including a three-year-old child, were brought to the hospital.
The bus commuters were between the age of three and 73 and were conscious when taken to the hospital.
In addition, a 72-year-old pedestrian who was also involved in the accident, was conscious when taken to the hospital.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said that four people were brought to Tan Tock Seng Hospital, two were brought to Changi General Hospital and one person was brought to KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital.
A 61-year-old bus commuter, who had minor injuries refused to be taken to the hospital.
Ms Grace Wu, vice-president of customer experience and communications from SBS Transit told TODAY that a pedestrian who had suddenly stepped onto the road and several passengers on the two buses were injured.
Ms Wu added that they have reached out to four of the passengers and are trying to reach the others to offer their care and concern and provide assistance if required.

Other Accidents Involving SBS Transit Buses
Recently, on 9 October 2022, a 54-year-old bus driver died in a traffic accident in Hougang.
The police were alerted to the accident at 2:47am in Defu Avenue 1 towards Hougang Avenue 3.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force officers had to extract the driver who was trapped in his seat.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by a paramedic.
