Remember the nursery rhyme that we chant in our head whenever the sky turns grey?
Rain, rain, go away, come again another day.
That’s the rhyme that the cats at Goody Feed have been meowing at Bukit Batok ever since the start of a very wet July.
After the muddy waterfall that delivered a tree trunk onto the road at Bukit Batok, I’m sure we are all in agreement that we are done with the wet weather for now.
This is why this next piece of the weather report is great news for those that do not WFH but not so great news for those with a broken air conditioning unit.
Second Half of July 2021 Will be Hot With Less Rain; Temperature Can Reach Up to 35°C
We will finally be seeing a drier Singapore in the second half of July.
In the second fortnight of July, fair and warm weather can be expected on some days due to stable atmospheric conditions arising from the presence of dry air over Singapore and the surrounding region.
Despite the warm weather, there will still be short-duration showers over some parts of our little red dot in the late morning and early afternoon. Some of these showers will be accompanied by thunder.
Looks like we’re staying in for lunch.
Thanks to the Sumatra squalls, islandwide thundery showers with occasional gusty winds can be expected in one or two mornings.
Overall, the rainfall over Singapore for July 2021 is forecast to be above normal.
Daily Temperature: 25°C and 34°C.

If you spot few clouds in the sky, it’s time to bust out your sleeveless tops as it’s going to be hot around here. The daily maximum temperature could reach around 35°C on some humid days.
It’s also time to turn on the air-conditioning at night for, warm and humid nights with minimum night-time temperatures of up to 28°C can be expected on certain days as well.
This is more prominent in the eastern and southern coastal areas where the wind is just warm, hot air blowing into your face from the southeast. It’s like we’re on a hot air balloon island.
