As a young kid growing up on the streets of Singapore, I’ve had my fair share of trials and tribulations: friends with ill intentions, unrealistic expectations and Steven Lim stripping in front of a panel of judges. It’s hard, but isn’t life supposed to be just that…
Unnecessarily hard? Especially for guys, but let’s not go into specifics.
But throughout it all, one thing has been by my side, faithfully supporting me and not saying a word. Whenever I feel down or depressed, I can always count on it to give me a gush of joy, a moment of happiness and general satisfaction that can’t really be found elsewhere.
Curious what it is? Well I’m talking, of course, about…
SgInstaBabes.
So imagine my shock when I discovered that the religious site has all but closed down.
And my consecutive shock when I realised that even its Patreon and Facebook pages are down.
Black ‘Hawk’ down
In a quick Facebook search, it was determined that the page had been taken down.
But hey, of course we know the link to their Facebook Page. And ta-da:
And the same applies to Patreon. While the social media channel is still present on the site…
Clicking on the link simply redirects you to
Incidentally, the pages were up just yesterday (30 August).
Controversy
The Patreon page’s removal, in particular, is noteworthy because it was established just one week prior, on 23 August. Also, its content was hardly the most appropriate for a parent-teacher meeting.
For $3, it’s appreciation.
For $7.50 or more, it’s access to complete photo albums.
$22.50 and you’re entitled to all previous benefits, as well as access to their personal vlogs.
For $75, you get front row tickets. Though it’s limited.
And for $225, it’s front row tickets to ‘football’ games all day, every day.
$750, and you’re a baller.
Fork out $3,750 and you’re a king.
And considering how there were 93 patreons (though some are allegedly fake accounts), I would say there’s a definite market for it. Too bad it’s down, eh?
SgInstaBabes
Long story short: you can call it a social media page, with its primary platform being Instagram. Founded by a former competitive bodybuilder, he allegedly also founded a social media company, Instalogy.
According to an interview, the founder doesn’t just own SGInstaBabes, but also other Instagram accounts like SGFitnessHotties, SGRestaurants and SGFashionistas. A check online shows that all other pages are no longer online, except for SGRestaurants. For that account, the last post was made in 2017.
As a whole, they supposedly have “50 InstaBabes” with a combined following of “900,000”, and additional database of 2,000 female social media influencers. They also claim to have over 100 clients, strategic partners and sponsors.
However, its Instagram account (which had an excess of 100K followers) was recently shut down just one or two days ago. While the reason wasn’t specified, an interview with Marketing Magazine suggested that the founder is taking a break from social media.
Should the account be revived, it’s revealed that the founder would not be in charge or involved in it.

What now?
Well, the website’s still up, so that’s always a possible go-to.
Alternatively, you can follow the Wise Old Man’s advice:
No Old Funky Atropine Purposes
They say it’s beneficial in the long run too, so it’s a #winwin thing.
But I bet my boss’s car that the website would also be removed soon.
