Woman Chanced Upon Herself in Porn Site & Realised Her Ex-BF Has Uploaded It

When we share intimate photos or videos with someone we’re dating, it’s because we’re confident that this person won’t abuse our trust.

But as we’ve seen with the now-defunct SG Nasi Lemak group on Telegram, there are people out there who are willing to share this compromising material with complete strangers on the internet, even if it’s of people they once shared a relationship with.

In this instance, the victim had the misfortune of discovering that an old video she had once taken with a boyfriend had been uploaded to a pornography site.

Agreed to Delete Intimate Videos After Relationship Ended

The couple – a man and his 25-year-old ex-girlfriend – were in a relationship between 2013 and 2016.

During their relationship, videos were taken of the two engaging in sexual acts with the woman’s consent.

When they ended their relationship, however, the woman asked her ex-boyfriend to delete all their intimate videos.

However, in Feb last year, when the man switched on his old laptop, he discovered that there were a few videos that he had forgotten to delete.

In this situation, there are two available options:

  1. Delete the videos
  2. Delete the videos

Yes, there’s really only one option. But instead of doing that, the man uploaded one of the videos on a porn site.

The video depicted the two having sex, with the women’s face visible at some points. The video was viewed 3,000 times, including by the woman herself.

She stumbled upon the video one day when she was on the internet and noticed that the user’s name was the same as her ex-boyfriend’s social media handles.

The woman lodged a police report over the matter, and the man’s laptop, phone, and portable hard drive were seized.

In total, the authorities found 692 obscene videos on the man’s devices.

Jailed 11 Weeks

Yesterday (18 Nov), the man was sentenced to 11 weeks’ for his crimes.

He earlier pleaded guilty to intentionally distributing a recording with explicit content and possessing 692 obscene films on his devices.

Another count of distributing obscene materials was also taken into consideration for sentencing.

The man’s defence lawyer said he is “remorseful” and regrets his decision, which the lawyer described as a “momentary lapse of judgement”.

The lawyer added that the man has apologised to his ex-girlfriend and made restitution, though he provided no specifics as to what was given.
