On 10 February, some major news crash-landed onto Kdrama fans when Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin announced their soon-to-come wedding.
The couple who had previously starred in tvN’s Crash Landing On You as the main leads – Jeong Hyeok and Se Ri – demonstrated such daebak chemistry, it was hard not to believe they weren’t a real thing off-screen.
Well, the fans were right all along.
Pregnancy Speculations
But like every other K-actor news, after the two announced that they were tying the knot, rumours began circulating online, speculating that the 40-year-old actress was pregnant.
Well, if she was, it would no doubt be even happier news.
Responding quickly, MS Team Entertainment, Son Ye Jin’s agency, released additional details regarding the couple’s upcoming wedding and an official statement addressing the pregnancy rumours.
According to the agency, “Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin’s wedding ceremony will be held in private in Seoul this coming March. Due to COVID-19 concerns, family members and close acquaintances are the only people to attend the event.”
Regarding the actress’ pregnancy rumours, the agency added, “We ask for your understanding, and please send your blessings and support for the lovely couple who will start a new life together.”
In the true Kdrama style, the agency left fans on a cliff-hanger and didn’t confirm nor deny the rumours. Guess we will just have to wait then.

Upcoming Projects
Meanwhile, Son Ye Jin and Hyun Bin are set to return to the entertainment scene.
The actress will return to the small screen on 16 February with her drama comeback “Thirty-Nine” where she will be acting alongside Hospital Playlist’s Jeon Mi Do.
Hyun Bin is expected to have back-to-back big-screen projects, namely “Confidential Assignment 2: International” and “Harbin” which are to be released this year.
First Love
Recently, Son Ye Jin also appeared on an episode of the talk show “You Quiz on the Block” where a preview revealed she was asked about her first love.
To which, she replied bashfully, “The love right now is the first love.” Aww, my heart can’t take this.
This isn’t the first time we have seen the couple being affectionate with each other in public.
Previously, Hyun Bin also thanked Son Ye Jin, calling her his best partner, when he received his grand prize at the APAN Star Awards in January 2021.

With the pregnancy rumours not totally debunked, fans can continue to remain hopeful that the couple will announce more happy news in the future.
