It has been four months since Song Jia-A, the breakout star from Single’s Inferno, went completely off-grid after she was exposed for wearing fake designer goods.
All that remains of her social media accounts, once filled with make-believe snippets of a luxurious and decadent life, is the apology video and letter, to convey her remorse while stating that she will be taking some time off to reflect on herself.
Song Ji-A has been absent from the limelight since; not a trace or shadow of her to be found.
Until a photograph of her helping out at a soup kitchen in South Korea popped out, that is.
Song Ji-A Spotted at Soup Kitchen
After having all her glitz and glamour viciously shredded by the netizens, it is quite humbling to see the young idol helping to prepare meals for the underprivileged of Korea.
In the photo, Song Ji-A is humbly dressed in a simple long-sleeved shirt, face mostly covered by a mask and the brim of her white hat.
According to the Instagram post, actress Kang Ye-Won and Song Ji-A go to the soup kitchen once a month to help out and deliver the lunch boxes to the jjokbang residents.
Jjokbang refers to the tenants in government-subsidised housing who can’t afford to pay the deposit for regular rental apartments.

The wife of comedian Lee Soo-geun, Park Ji-Yeon shared images of Song Ji-A helping out as well.
It’s rather nice to see what Song has been doing with her time lately, especially for a charitable cause, even if it’s a tiny glimpse.
