The Singapore Flyer is an iconic attraction towering over the Marina Bay area.

It is certainly a popular attraction with foreigners.

But how many locals have actually taken a spin on the Singapore Flyer? If cost were a factor hindering your turn on the huge Ferris wheel, you’d be pleased to know about this special deal for locals.

Here’s the offer from Singapore Flyer, exclusively for local residents.

Singapore Flyer Has a 15th Anniversary Special for Local Residents

Local residents stand to take a ride on the Singapore Flyer for just $15.

Yes, you read that right. It’s $15. A ticket on the Singapore Flyer usually retails at $40, so this is more than a 50% discount.

The $15 price tag is because of the Singapore Flyer’s 15th anniversary. We’re glad it’s not their 30th anniversary.

Before you rush to get your tickets, you should know that there are some strings attached to this attractive deal.

Firstly, the promotional period is for a limited time only, from 17 April 2023 to 31 May 2023. Also, note that the discounted prices are only available on weekdays, excluding public holidays.

Very reasonable, since weekends and public holidays are usually when more people are out and about.

Secondly, the promotion is only valid for adults, children aged between three and 12 years of age and seniors. There is also a minimum purchase of two tickets and a maximum purchase of four tickets per transaction.

Thirdly, you should be ready to present the “relevant pass for verification” upon admission to the Singapore Flyer. After all, this discount is meant to benefit local residents in line with the Singapore Flyer’s 15th anniversary. Singapore Citizens, Permanent Residents, and holders of Employment Pass, Work Permit and Dependant Pass are all eligible for this discount.

So don’t forget your NRIC or other equivalent pass which can prove that you are a local resident!

If you are unable to present proof of eligibility for the discount, you will be required to purchase another full-price ticket. So don’t think of trying to hoodwink the business!

Finally, tickets sold may not be refunded, exchanged, extended or transferred. Do make sure your schedules are cleared before purchasing the tickets to avoid any disappointment.

What to Look Forward to in the Deal

As part of the 15th-anniversary special, you can look forward to two attractions.

One of them is, of course, one rotation on the Singapore Flyer in a shared capsule to admire the skyline of Singapore.

Each rotation lasts approximately 30 minutes.

The operating hours are between 2 pm (for the first admission) and 9.30 pm (for the last admission), so you can get both day views and night views as you prefer. If you time the ride well, you may even be able to catch a sunset.

Rest assured that the Singapore Flyer is safe for guests as it has just emerged from its scheduled maintenance earlier this month. The technical issue detected in 2022 has also been resolved.

The second attraction bundled in the $15 admission fee is a journey with the Time Capsule as the starting point for an “immersive experience of Singapore’s past, present and future”.

The Time Capsule has several parts to it, including explanations about how Singapore came about (remember the Lion?), the transformation of the Singapore River, the possibilities that Singapore has for the future, and a picture to be included in R65’s memory orb.

Other Deals to Look Forward to

Of course, the deals don’t just stop there. For the foodies, you may be keen to try out the $15 Deals at the Sky View Pavilion, a Chinese restaurant located at the Singapore Flyer.

A different dish will be offered at $15 every day of the week. Some of the dishes available are Roast Duck (half), Drunken Spare Ribs, Sauteed Broccoli with Crabmeat, Sauteed Live Prawn with Black Truffle and Salted Egg Yolk, Deep-fried Fish Fillet with Chili Sauce, Steamed Kampong Chicken with Chinese Sausage, and Cauliflower Soup with Oyster and Tofu.

The original retail prices of the food range between $30 to $40, so the $15 price tag is a steal.

This deal at Sky View Pavilion is valid for dine-in patrons from 15 April 2023 to 30 June 2023.
