If there’s anything I look forward to in December (besides the festivities and cheer), it’s the cold cold weather.
It’s so cold that I sleep with a blanket, and bring an umbrella everywhere because it’s so rainy all the time.
Okay, maybe not Frozen, but you get the idea.
S’pore Temperatures Fall To 21.4 Degrees; You Can Expect Cold Weather For The Rest Of The Week
More good news too: the weather is here to stick around at least for the rest of the week.
This is because of the monsoon season that is upon us and on Monday, 2 December, the temperatures dipped particularly low at under 22°C.
According to The Straits Times, the lowest temperature recorded was as low as 21.4°C!
That’s pretty darn low, and explains why I’ve been freezing at night.
Admiralty Enjoyed 21.4°C Weather On 1 December
Someone take me to Admiralty now because on 1 December at around 6pm, Admiralty was one of the areas that enjoyed the cool temperature of 21.4°C.
However, surprisingly, 2019’s coldest day was a few months back in May where certain areas in Singapore, predominantly in the East enjoyed 20.8°C weather.
The only difference is this time, lower temperatures are sticking around for a little while in December.
All we know for sure is that for the first week of December, temperatures will vary between 22°C and 30°C, which are already pretty darn low.
This is, of course, considering the fact that just a few months ago I felt like I was about to get roasted by the scorching heat.
And get this: the monsoon is expected to stick around until March 2020. Now isn’t this piece of news the perfect start to the festive season?
Flash Floods
That said, with an increase in the rain comes an increase in other problems like flash floods.
Also, be sure to carry around an umbrella to keep yourself dry when it rains. You don’t want to be that person who’s always stuck taking shelter at a bus stop.
