โ€˜Squid Gameโ€™ Star Yim Si-wan to Make Appearance at Korea Travel Fair 2025 in Singapore on 17 May

South Korean actor-singer Yim Si-wan, known for his role as Lee Myung-gi/Player 333 in the hit Netflix series Squid Game, will make a special appearance in Singapore next month as part of the Korea Travel Fair 2025.

The event will take place at Plaza Singapura on 17 May 2025, where Yim will share his personal travel stories and recommendations with fans and visitors.


Organised by the Korea Tourism Organisation (KTO), the fair celebrates the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Singapore and South Korea.

The three-day event runs from 16 to 18 May 2025.

During his stage appearance on Saturday morning, Yim will offer insights into his hometown of Busan and share his favourite food recommendations.

Event Highlights

The Korea Travel Fair 2025, themed โ€œYour Gateway To K-Cultureโ€, will feature various booths offering travel packages to South Korea, interactive games, and traditional craft activities.

Visitors can participate in K-pop dance workshops and traditional Korean lantern-making sessions throughout the three-day event.

South Korean singer Punch, famous for her song โ€œStay With Meโ€ from the 2016 drama Guardian: The Lonely And Great God (also known as Goblin), will perform songs from popular K-dramas during the opening ceremony.

Admission to the Korea Travel Fair 2025 is free for all visitors.

Growing Popularity of Korean Travel Fairs

The KTO has a history of organising successful travel fairs in Singapore. Last yearโ€™s Korea Travel Fair 2024 was held at Marina Square from 17 to 19 May 2024.

The 2024 event featured Korea tour advice, promotional offers, and interactive events, including K-beauty makeup shows and K-pop dance lessons.

In 2023, the annual Korea Travel Fair took place at Our Tampines Hub, where actor Lee Do-hyun from the Netflix drama The Glory made his first appearance in Singapore.

That event included Korean beauty workshops, Muslim-friendly travel booths, and Korean food stalls, attracting thousands of Hallyu fans.
