Stranger Things fans who have been waiting for season four since 2019: it’s coming out in 27 May 2022, and season five is coming 1 July 2022.
Here’s everything we know so far about what season four has in store for us.
“The Beginning Of The End”
In case you’ve been living under a rock for the last six years, Stranger Things is an American science fiction, horror drama TV series created by the Duffer Brothers.
Set in the 1980s in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana, the first season focuses on investigating the disappearance of Will Byers, amidst the appearance of a psychokinetic girl Eleven.
An open letter from the Duffer Brothers to fans described season four as “the beginning of the end”, as the story will end with season five.
It was originally going to end with season four, but because of the seasons’ runtime, they decided to split it into two seasons. Both seasons will comprise nine episodes each, and it will apparently be way longer than any episode we’ve seen from the show so far.
The fourth season boasts nine scripts with a total of over eight hundred pages, has gone through nearly two years of filming, and has thousands of visual effects shots.
With a runtime “nearly twice the length of any previous season”, the fourth season will start bringing Eleven’s story to a close.

Netflix has also revealed the titles for the nine episodes of season four earlier:
- The Hellfire Club
- Vecna’s Curse

- Dear Billy
- The Nina Project
- The Dive

There’s also been five posters released, of various characters in different locations, all approaching the Upside Down:
