Look, we all have our kinks.
Some enjoy hanky-panky at the void deck while their employer is watching, others enjoy sniffing fried chicken in bed at 3am with the fans turned off.
Reader: That last one was oddly specific
Whatever weird stuff we’re into, we need to make sure that we don’t make other people a part of it without their consent.
Which in this instance means resisting the urge to pee in strangers’ shoes.
Undertaker Sniffed & Urinated in Woman’s Shoe
On 3 Aug this year, Low Yan Long, a freelance undertaker, provided funeral services at a residential block in central Singapore.
At around 6:40pm, Low was about to leave when he felt a sudden urge to pee. In this instance, most of us would go with one of the two options below:
- Find the nearest bathroom
Okay, so there really is only one option. Instead, Low looked for a rather unconventional waste receptacle: a shoe rack.
The 36-year-old headed back to the block and took a lift to the 10th floor to look for the perfect shoe. He ended up walking down one floor and settled on a pink one from the victim’s shoe rack.
He unzipped his pants, pulled down his mask, and sniffed the shoe before urinating in it. He then zipped up, replaced the shoe on the rack and left, like it was a perfectly normal thing to do.
Found Wet Patches in Shoe
Unfortunately for Low, a motion sensor detector that was installed at the victim’s main door had detected his presence.
The victim and her husband checked the CCTV footage and saw Low outside. When they went outside, they noticed that the victim’s pink shoe had wet patches and white spots on it.
Fined $3,200; Asked Judge to Tell The Media Not to Report His Case
For his actions, Low was fined $3,200 today (16 Nov) for his repulsive act as well as not wearing a mask properly. He also paid the victim $44 to replace the soiled shoe.
The undertaker asked the judge to order the media not to report his case or share his name, but the judge unsurprisingly refused, saying there was no basis to do so.
“There is no basis for me to exclude the media, nor is there any basis for me to ask them not to report the matter,” the judge said.
Low persisted but to no avail.
“I will not direct the media in any way in this case,” the judge reiterated.
This wasn’t Low’s first gross brush with the law, as he was previously fined for insulting the modesty of a woman, and also for committing obscene acts in public.
Back in 2019, when he was fined $5,000 for pleasuring himself with footwear, Low said he had a fetish for women’s shoes and often pleasured himself with them and urinated in them to relieve stress and work.
So, first, it was masturbation, then urination. We can only hope that it doesn’t one day escalate any further.
