Woman Rushed To Get Vaccinated in The Middle of Dyeing Her Hair

As you might know, while 50% of our population has been fully vaccinated, our vaccination rate for those above 70 seems to have plateaued at around 70%.

This means that about 30% of seniors above the age of 70 have not completed their vaccination regimen or not been vaccinated at all.

Despite the government’s repeated pleas to get vaccinated, some are still hesitant to get jabbed, fearing side effects.

But if one woman in Malaysia can get vaccinated while her hair was still soaked with dye, anyone of us can.

Woman Rushed To Get Vaccinated in The Middle of Dyeing Her Hair

There are a few things in this world that would compel one to leave the salon or house abruptly while getting their hair dyed, such as a family emergency or a bubble tea promotion.

But for one lady in Malaysia, a sudden call up for a vaccination appointment was the reason.

Her daughter, Ms Thian, detailed the incident in a Facebook post on 16 July.

According to Thian, she had received a shot of a COVID-19 vaccine that day and just as she was about to complete the process, was informed that her mother received a notification to get vaccinated that same day.

So, she made arrangements with her sister to meet her mother at the same vaccination centre.

When Thian’s mother arrived, however, she was rather shocked to find her head covered in red hair dye.

Apparently, Thian’s mother was in the middle of a hair dye job when she received the call for her vaccination appointment.

She wasn’t sure if she could head to the centre without completing the dyeing process, but Thian’s sister assured her mother that getting jabbed in the arm has “nothing to do with her head”.

So, her mother quickly threw on some clothes and headed to the vaccination centre to meet Thian.

Workers at the centre were confused, to say the least.

Workers Thought Woman Was Domestic Helper Who Was Abused

Now, if you walk in anywhere with red liquid pouring down your head, you’re going to raise some eyebrows and a boatload of concerns.

Some healthcare workers at the centre were concerned as they believed the woman was injured and bleeding and thought she was looking for an ambulance.

Worse, they even thought she was a domestic helper employed by Thian and that Thian had abused the woman.

The fact that the poor woman was Thai and could only converse in Thai just made things look even more sketchy.

Fortunately, Thian was eventually able to prove that she was indeed the woman’s daughter, though they checked whether the two shared the same surname.

Using her mother as an example, Thian asked: what reason do you have not to get vaccinated?

Hmm, she has a point.

One crafty netizen even made a sticker for the woman, as a symbol of her determination to get vaccinated.
