Barbie Hsu took the world by surprise when she remarried Koo Jun Yup a mere three months after divorcing Wang Xiaofei.
Mr Wang has finally responded to Hsu’s rushed remarriage, and has cleared up all speculations regarding their divorce.
Hsu Married Old Flame 3 Months After Divorce
The well-known 45-year-old Taiwanese actress and television host had announced her divorce from now ex-husband, Chinese businessman Wang Xiaofei, in November 2021. The duo was married for ten years before their split and have two children together.
However, Hsu has since re-married to her old flame, DJ Koo, three months after her divorce from Wang. The pair reconnected when Koo decided to ring her up by digging up her old phone number after hearing about her divorce.
The speed at which Hsu got remarried has led to many speculations, namely: did Hsu get divorced for Koo?
Ex-husband Wang has taken to Weibo to dismiss these rumours.
Divorce Had Nothing To Do With Koo
Wang posted on Weibo, saying that he initially wasn’t going to respond because he didn’t want to “occupy public resources with [his] private affairs”. Basically, a fancy way of saying he didn’t want his life splashed all over the news’ front page.
However, he decided to respond because he kept receiving calls and text messages about Hsu’s remarriage, and it has been disrupting his everyday life.
Wang cleared up the rumours once and for all: their divorce had nothing to do with anyone, including Koo.
“Everyone has started a new life and I wish Barbie Hsu happiness,” said Wang.
He also apologised to the Chinese influencer and actress Zhang Yingying, who has been embroiled in rumours saying that she had an affair with Wang.

A Whirlwind Romance, Not A Planned Remarriage
It has also been reported that the remarriage was so sudden that even Hsu’s mother had not known that it was going to happen, and she is allegedly angry to the point where she refuses to talk to Hsu or meet her new son-in-law.
Hsu’s younger sister, Dee Hsu, has since stepped in to mediate.
This just proves that Koo and Hsu really only reconnected recently. Nobody saw this coming, not even her own family. The remarriage wasn’t planned before the divorce, and this seems to truly be a whirlwind romance.
So to all the internet trolls, you can stop your speculations and let everyone live in peace now.
