Imagine turning on your CCTV footage only to find your landlord masturbating with your underwear.

Sounds like an utter nightmare? Well that was the reality for a Malaysian woman known only as Liu.

On 17 May 2023, Liu received a notification saying that someone had stepped into her room, which she shared with her boyfriend Hong.

For contextual purposes, she had installed a CCTV in her room all the way back in November 2022, as her female landlord would supposedly bring possible tenants into taken rooms.

Liu then acted on the notification and checked the footage. To her utter shock, it was none other than her male landlord. Butt naked. All revealing.

Apparently, he had been scouring the room for her underwear.

Once he had the goods in his hands, he began to act on his carnal desire. Or in other words, he started to do the dirty deed with it.

The ordeal purportedly lasted for fifteen minutes. Upon completion of the less-than-holy deed, the landlord kindly placed the piece of underwear back in its original place.

So thoughtful.

The whole process was witnessed, and recorded, by Liu. Despite tearing up at the obscene act being committed in front of her eyes, she could not stop as she knew that she had to record it for evidence.

A police report was filed the very same day.

The Aftermath of the…Deed

On 18 May 2023, police officers turned up at the four-room flat at Block 251 Kim Keat Link. The abused piece of underwear was retrieved, alongside three other pairs of underwear and three separate items of clothing.

In an interview with Shin Min Daily News, Liu’s boyfriend Hong revealed that the male landlord steadfastly objected to apologising.

They were also unable to get back their deposit and rent of $1,900.

The couple has since moved out of the flat, but the damage has been done. Liu would purportedly have nightmares almost every night, and would feel fear just by seeing someone who looks like the perpetrator.

She now has a phobia of male landlords.

It should be noted that when Shin Min Daily News reporters turned up at the flat, two young female tenants were reportedly still staying there.

The police are currently investigating.

Outrage

Suffice to say; netizens were not content.

After Shin Min Daily News shared the piece on its Facebook page, netizens turned up in droves to condemn the perpetrator.

Many questioned why the perpetrator did not get arrested immediately.

Others called the landlord a pervert.

Meanwhile, one speculated that Liu must be very pretty.

The post has since attracted over 360 likes & reactions, as well as 111 comments and 92 shares.

Questionable Landlords

Though masturbating landlords are still few and far between, thank goodness, questionable landlords aren’t all that rare.

Back in 2022, a landlady made news headlines for allegedly duping numerous victims.

She would reportedly cheat her tenants of their deposit money, impose ridiculous rules, and chase them out before the contract is up.

But of course, not all landlords are questionable.

Some also command respect from their tenants, such as this particular one.

On 3 July 2023, a religious altar in a Telok Blangah HDB flat reportedly caught fire. A couple from Myanmar was trapped within the flat.

Instead of calling the SCDF, however, the trapped couple, overwhelmed by fear, dialed their landlord instead. The landlord must be proud, no?
