Yishun has been home to a number of strange and sometimes phenomenal things.
Such as a spate of cat killings, civilians attacking police with stun guns, gruesome murders and suicide and best of all, a strange Malay man knocking on doors asking for children.
Apa?! Is he a bi… I mean witch? Or wizard?
As Singaporeans, we’re probably aware, and wholeheartedly agreeable of Yishun being our prime Bermuda-Triangle-spot for strange occurrences.
It is also my birth town. I grew up at Blk 249 Yishun before moving out but that’s another story.
You can read the Yishun stories here.
And now, one more Yishun upside-down world story has occurred.
Ghost Sighting at Yishun Carpark
If Dark Waters or Silk didn’t scare you enough, then how about a ghost sighting at the Bermuda District? (credits to myself for coining the term).
Stomper Meko had managed to capture a ghostly figure in white as she drove through a carpark in Yishun.
The ghastly apparition was lingering at a corner where the lift lobby was, with her side profile facing the camera.
How can a ghost appear so clearly, you ask? And mak, everyone can see it!
I heard our supernatural brethren only appear to those they want to appear to.
The Sighting Debunked
Anyway, put your panic aside. Is that fast breathing I hear?
The white ghost is no more than a student dressed up as one for her project, shares Twitter user @kiisamii.
And even before she debunked everyone’s fears, the prior tweet shared by Stomper Meko on 3 September had been retweeted over 700 times and 400 likes.
Shows just how fear spreads like forest fires. No, not the one at East Coast Park.
I’m glad the ‘ghost’ chose to take the mask off and unravel the mystery of the Yishun ‘ghost’. Yishun residents can now rest at ease without having to worry about a white figure haunting their streets while they sleep.
P.S. In case you’re wondering about how the project turned out, here it is.
