To all active Pokémon Go players, here’re some updates in the near future that have been planned by Niantic Labs. As for those who are inactive, these updates could get you back to the game again!
New Catch Bonus
This is great for when you are constantly capturing the same type Pokémon again and again. For example, if you see yourself constantly capturing normal-type Pokémon, you’ll get to earn medals and reward which is normal-type related. This will grant you a bonus of capturing other Pokémon of the same type – such as Snorlax and Porygon. This is so helpful since no one wants to be capturing Pidgey after Pidgey, Rattata after Rattata…
In the event that you catch a number of two or more types of Pokémon, this would mean that your bonus will be averaged between the different types. You can work your way up tiers for becoming a specialist in catching certain types of Pokémon.
Gym Interactions
Currently, you are only able to bring in one Pokémon into battle when the gym leader has only one Pokémon in defence. When the update comes in, you’ll be able to bring in six Pokémon in the same scenario.
Of course, the biggest update that everyone is looking forward to in the Gen 2 Pokémon. However, it may take a while till the game includes all the latest and greatest Pokémon from Gen 1.
So for now, let’s enjoy the new updates that the team will be bringing to us in the near future!
